Food Day is a national movement sponsored by the Center for Science in the Public Interest to promote a healthy, affordable, sustainable and just food system. It addresses issues as varied as health and nutrition, hunger, agricultural policy, animal welfare, and farm worker justice. The ultimate goal of Food Day is to strengthen and unify the food movement in order to improve our nation’s food policies. Priorities include promoting safer, healthier diets; supporting sustainable and organic farms; reducing hunger; reforming factory farms to protect the environment, and supporting fair working conditions for food and farm workers.
